Steve Beresford has been a central figure in the British improvising scene for over thirty years, working with the likes of Derek Bailey, Evan Parker, Han Bennink, Christian Marclay and, of course, Alterations. He has an extensive discography as performer, arranger, composer and producer, and was awarded a Paul Hamlyn award for composers in 2012.

Martin Blume has been active as a drummer since 1983 collaborating with well-known improvising musicians all over the world, including Peter Brotzmann, Lol Coxhill and Ken Vandermark. He formed various ensembles such as FOURinONE with Luc Houtkamp. ‘Blume listens with intensity and punctuates decisively’ (The Wire). He ‘is a truly creative drummer and his punctuation is a catalyst to the musical developments around him.’ (Jazzviews 2015).

Luc Houtkamp is a musician and composer who bridges the gap between composition and improvisation. He has worked extensively in improvised music since 1972, collaborating with numerous musicians and groups all over the world such as George Lewis, Wiek Hijmans, Le Quan Ninh and FOURinONE. In 2004 he won the VPRO/Boy Edgar Prize for his unique style as a tenor and alto saxophonist. His own POW Ensemble features renowned Dutch and international improvisers.
